iFi USB audio filter designed to actively reduce electrical noise and interference present in USB connections, improving the clarity and accuracy of digital audio.
The iSilencer+ CC uses Active Noise Cancellation II (ANC II) , a technology inspired by noise-canceling headphones, which generates an inverse signal to neutralize electrical noise from the computer or digital source. This process allows for a more stable and quieter data transfer to the DAC.
It also incorporates REbalance® technology, which corrects imbalances in the digital signal and eliminates clicks , distortion , and effects resulting from DC offset . The inclusion of low-ESR tantalum capacitors and a filter capacitance multiplied by ten reinforces both input and output filtering.
In addition to being installed between the computer and the DAC, the iSilencer+ can be connected to unused USB ports to reduce radiated EMI within the system. Using multiple units increases the noise reduction capacity proportionally , further optimizing the system's electrical environment.
